Scheid's Truc "N" RV - GENERAL RENTAL POLICY INFORMATION

Rental Payments:  A deposit is paid when the reservation is written. The rental cost is paid in full when you pick up the unit. If you pay by personal check, send it at least 2 weeks before the rental. Otherwise pay by cash, Visa, Master Card, or Discover.

Deposit and Cancellations:  There is a $300 security deposit required for the travel trailers and pop-ups. The unit you are renting is due back in by 11:00 AM or there will be a late fee charged and taken out of your deposit.  Refunds will be mailed within a 21 day period providing unit is returned on time, clean and undamaged. Cancellations - The deposit is refunded, with a $80 service charge, if the rental is cancelled at least 14 days prior to departure. Thereafter, no refund. This applies to all rental units. 

To Tow:  Travel Trailers require a Class III receiver, a brake controller, and a 7 wire connector. Pop-Ups require a minimum of a bumper hitch that can safely handle 2000 lbs. minimum and a flat 4 wiring. If you do not have all of these items, you can purchase them from our parts department. Rental hitch items: hitch bars and head for $35, and ball mount and ball for $20.  We do not rent hitch receivers, brake control or wiring and connectors.  These can be permanently installed by our service department for an additional cost.

Insurance: YOUR AUTO INSURANCE is the coverage for Liability, Property Damage and Comprehensive protection.  We require verifications of full coverage.  Our office will need to copy your driver's license and insurance card.  (We will need to call your insurance agent to verify insurance coverage.)

Pick-up and Drop-off:  Pick up times are scheduled between the hours of 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM on weekdays and Saturday by appointment only.  Drop-off times are 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM  weekdays. The vehicle is overdue after 11:00 AM on the date of the return. A per hour late fee will be charged for each hour you are late. Please be advised we do not have a mechanic available all the time to trouble shoot hitch, brake and lighting problems that may occur on your tow vehicle during pick-up. We recommend that we inspect your tow vehicle in advance of your departure date.

Cleaning:  Camping units are expected to be returned cleaned or you will be charged cleaning fees and labor. No pets and no smoking are allowed in the camping units.  Make sure ALL holding tanks (fresh, black and gray water) are dumped, valves open and holding tank caps are off.  Propane needs to be refilled if necessary or we will need to charge you accordingly.
